At New Horizons Family Center, our mission
is to foster the health development of children
and families.  Our goals are child-abuse
prevention, school readiness, personal-social
effectiveness, child mental health, and positive
family relationships.

New Horizons offers a safe, wholesome
environment and a range of programs for the
whole family:  Family Literacy programs, early
learning and school readiness programs,
licensed child care for ages 0-5, after-school
tutoring and academic enrichment for
elementary students and teens, Youth
Recreation Center, parenting education, family
and community events, and child and family
counseling.  Our bilingual, professional staff
encourages motivation and skills for success in
school, responsible citizenship, socialization,
and self-confidence.
New Horizons provides culturally
competent services to meet the diverse
needs of the community we serve:
Lationo/Hispanic, Armenian,
African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander.

While the Center accepts clients without
geographic limitations, the majority are
residents of south Glendale and northeast
Los Angeles
.
